Cranial Remolding Helmets are designed to help guide a baby’s skull to grow in the direction we want.

FAQ:

Will this hurt my baby?

No. These helmets do not press on the baby’s skull. The helmets have gaps inside that as the brain grows it grows into the helmet.

Do they have to wear this all the time?

Yes. The more the baby wears the helmet the sooner they will be out of it. Baby’s do most of their growing while they are sleeping so anytime they are asleep it is crucial that they have it on.

What if the helmet leaves a red spot?

You are always welcome to reach out to the clinician if you have any questions or concerns. We will also have frequent follow-up appointments. Slightly pink after you remove the helmet is completely normal as long as it goes away after a few minutes.
