Gradient Compression Therapy

Gradient Compression Therapy

Medical-grade compression solutions to relieve leg fatigue, reduce swelling, and improve overall vascular health.

At Binson’s, we provide comprehensive gradient compression therapy to help patients manage chronic venous conditions, reduce swelling, and accelerate post-surgical recovery. Our certified compression fitters work directly with you and your healthcare provider to find the exact pressure, style, and fit for your specific medical needs and lifestyle.

What is Gradient Compression Therapy?

Gradient compression applies precise, decreasing pressure to the limb—highest at the ankle or wrist and gradually easing as it moves upward toward the heart.

By gently squeezing the vein walls together, compression garments help weak or damaged valves function properly. This encourages healthy blood circulation, prevents blood from pooling in the lower extremities, and reduces painful swelling (edema).

Common Conditions Treated

  • Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI)
  • Varicose & Spider Veins
  • Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) Management & Prevention
  • Venous Stasis Ulcers
  • Edema (Swelling) during Pregnancy or Prolonged Standing
  • Post-Surgical Recovery & Fluid Management

Custom & Over-the-Counter Options

Every body is different, which is why we offer a broad range of styles, compression levels, and fabric choices:

Over-the-Counter & Value Lines

Ideal for low-level compression (15–20 mmHg), travel, daily fatigue relief, or budget-conscious self-pay options.

Medical-Grade Prescription Hosiery

Available in higher pressure ranges (20–30 mmHg, 30–40 mmHg, and higher) prescribed by your physician for specific clinical diagnoses.

Versatile Styles

Knee-highs, thigh-highs, waist-high pantyhose, maternity compression, chaps, and arm sleeves in standard knit, sheer, or heavy-duty fabrics.

Custom-Made Garments

For patients with unique limb shapes or advanced fitting requirements, our certified specialists take exact anatomical measurements to craft 100% custom garments.

Precision Fitting & Advanced Technology

A proper fit is crucial for compression therapy to be effective and comfortable. A garment that is too tight can restrict blood flow, while one that is too loose will not provide therapeutic benefits.

Certified Compression Specialists

Our trained fitters conduct precise manual hand measurements to select the ideal size and garment structure for your condition.

Infrared Perometer Technology (Royal Oak Location)

For unmatched precision, our Royal Oak facility utilizes an advanced, touchless infrared Perometer. In just seconds, safe light sensors map the exact dimensions and volume of your limb to ensure an infallible custom fit.
