Your Leg, Your Style

We believe that since every amputee is unique, every prosthesis should be just as unique. Every amputee gets to choose the look of their prosthesis and there is no difference in the cost!

We want you to love your leg as much as we enjoy making it!

We can make your prosthesis look like your original leg. Or we can make it a statement piece. We can laminate almost any t-shirt into the leg giving every patient a chance to show off what they love!

What to expect when getting a leg at Binson's

There are quite a few steps to getting a leg but we will be there helping you through the process.

  1. Face to Face
    1. A clinician can go with you to your doctors to get the process going by getting a script, chart notes, and connecting with your doctor to make sure you get the best of care.
  2. Evaluated and Casted
    1. A clinician will either meet you at the office or your home to do a full evaluation and cast your limb. This cast will be removed and used to make the prosthesis a good fit custom to your leg.
  3. Test Socket
    1. A clinician will fit you with a test socket that will function as a prototype for your prosthesis. This socket can be adjusted and changed to make sure that the fit is optimal and you are comfortable.
  4. Temporary Prosthesis
    1. This is a fully functional leg that a new amputee will have for the first 3-6 months as the residual limb matures.
  5. Permanent Prosthesis
    1. This is your new leg!

  5. You feel like your prosthesis side is shorter

  1. You feel like you are unable to fully get into your prosthesis
  2. The socket feels too tight

Warning Signs that something is wrong
